Current Standard Class Times
The Red Line in the above schedule was added to note an inherent concern with the mix of 3-day-a-week courses and 2-day-a-week class during the same time of day. A student enrolled in the the MWF 2:30-3:20 course could not take a course in either the MW 1:30-2:20 or MW 3:00-4:15 time block. The proposed Standard Class Times simplifies the overall schedule and would eliminate the inherent afternoon MWF and MW conflicts that are currently in the Standard Class Times schedule.
Proposed Standard Class Times
Why Standard Class Time schedule?
The Standard Class Times schedule was designed to reducing time conflicts that would impact student registration and provide a more efficient schedule for Centrally Sc. Historically, the system was built around 3-credit hour lecture courses being offered in a 3-day-a-week Monday-Wednesday-Friday (MWF) schedule and a 2-day-a-week Tuesday-Thursday (TR) schedule. As the preference for programs to schedule classes in a 2-day-a-week format increased, the MW afternoon time blocks were added to the Standard Class Times schedule.
